Keep what worked and correct what did not
Feedback and measured results improve the relevant work without erasing the decisions that came before.
Your preference is useful information
When you choose a concept, reject a line or explain why a design feels wrong, that feedback can refine the brand's working standards. A specific reason is more useful than recording only a winning option.
Taste and performance are different records. A campaign can fit the brand and fail to produce the intended response. A high-performing treatment may still be unacceptable for the brand.
Keep the prediction as it was
Before the result
Define the expected outcome, baseline, metric and measurement window. Record the assumptions and the actual intervention being tested.
After the window
Compare with eligible observations. If the treatment changed, the sample is contaminated or the data never arrived, state that before assigning a score.
When a record is corrected
Keep the original and the correction with their sources. Do not rewrite the prediction to make it agree with what happened.
Trust has a specific domain
A method's record matters for the kind of decision it has actually faced. Message-ranking evidence cannot establish price sensitivity or retention accuracy for an unrelated audience.
Calibration can change how much weight a forecast receives. See when a record is sparse or credible methods disagree, and which evidence would help resolve the uncertainty.
Simulation evidence and its limits ↗Improve a practice without losing the old one
When the same correction recurs, Signyl can use it to improve the relevant working method. Compare the revision with its predecessor and see what changed.
Earlier versions remain available, so an unsuccessful change can be reversed without losing the history.
Research and working methods ↗Learning does not grant new authority
Repeated success is evidence to consider, not permission to enlarge a tool's scope, add spending or publish without the required approval. Those decisions belong to the organization's authorized people and policies.
The useful outcome is better-informed work that can explain its history, including what it got wrong.
