This Privacy Policy explains how Signyl LLC (“Signyl,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you visit signylai.com (the “Site”) or contact us. We have written it to be read, not endured. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we will explain it plainly.
Who we are
Signyl LLC provides marketing software and services. For the purposes of data-protection law, Signyl LLC is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected] for any privacy question, including the rights described below.
What we collect
We collect only what we need, and we tell you when we collect it.
- Information you give us. When you submit the brief form or email us, we receive the details you choose to provide: your name, your work email address, a description of what you sell, and the brief itself. We also keep the content of any correspondence you send us.
- Information collected automatically. When you load the Site, our hosting provider records standard server-log data, including your IP address, browser type and version, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of access. This is used to operate the Site, keep it secure, and understand aggregate usage.
- Cookies and local storage. The Site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and it does not run third-party analytics. Your browser may store small, non-identifying preferences locally to make the Site work. See Cookies below.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data (such as health, biometric, or political information). Please do not include such data in a brief.
How we use your information
- To read and respond to your brief, and to provide the services you ask about.
- To communicate with you, including replying, scheduling a call, and sending information you request.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site.
- To keep records, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent it.
Our legal bases (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR and UK GDPR:
- Consent — when you voluntarily submit a brief or contact us. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to operate and secure the Site and to respond to enquiries, balanced against your rights.
- Performance of a contract — where we are taking steps at your request before entering into, or while performing, an engagement.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
How we share information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Service providers. We use a small number of vendors to run the Site and our communications, including Cloudflare for hosting and request handling and Resend for form email delivery. The Site serves its fonts directly rather than requesting them from Google Fonts. These providers process information on our behalf under contract.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a government request, or where necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers. If Signyl is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
International transfers
Signyl operates from the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and elsewhere. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You may request a copy of the safeguards we use by emailing [email protected].
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymize it. Briefs and correspondence are kept while we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards to maintain records and comply with legal obligations. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and operations. You may ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights:
- To access the personal information we hold about you.
- To correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- To delete your information.
- To object to or restrict our processing.
- To portability — to receive your information in a usable format.
- To withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still exercise your other rights.
To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time the law allows, and we will not charge you for a reasonable request. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority, though we hope you will come to us first.
Cookies
The Site is built to work without tracking. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics that profile you across sites. Any storage your browser keeps is limited to making the Site function (for example, remembering a display preference). You can clear local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe and to address any incident promptly.
Children
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and, for material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Contact
Questions, requests, or concerns about privacy go to [email protected]. We read them.
This policy describes our practices for signylai.com. Your engagement with Signyl, if you become a client, is governed by a separate written agreement, which controls how we handle information you share during that work.
